Shouldn't have complained about blandness of the relationship in the first book. Second decided to "spice up" romance with terminal disease, this one with torture and sex slavery. Anyway, seen what I wanted to see how author will tackle, was way worse than what I imagined. Even prose seems to be getting worse - or maybe that's just me losing suspension of disbelief and becoming more and more critical. Either way, I'm done with these series
